Branch In Sunlight

Many clients say one session with the horses gives them more emotional insight than months of talk therapy.

What Is Equine-Assisted Learning?

Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) is a powerful, experiential approach to personal growth, emotional awareness, and communication.

Through guided interactions with horses, you’ll gain real-time feedback on your energy, mindset, and emotional state—without judgment. Horses respond to authenticity, presence, and calm leadership, making them ideal partners for developing emotional regulation, confidence, and clarity.

for emotional safety and accessibility.

Who These Sessions Are For

These equine-guided coaching sessions are especially powerful for individuals who are:

• navigating a major life or career transition

• feeling burned out, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck

• seeking clarity before making an important decision

• wanting to reconnect with their intuition and inner calm

• high performers who carry a lot of responsibility but rarely pause for themselves

• curious about a nature-based approach to emotional insight and personal growth

You don’t need horse experience—just a willingness to slow down and listen.

Meet Dr. Dawn

I'm Dr. Dawn Whitaker, a certified Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator and a specialist in navigating significant change. My approach is built on a unique foundation: a Doctorate in Organizational Change & Leadership combined with the profound, healing presence of horses.

I merge my background in change management and organizational transformation with the grounded, intuitive wisdom of equine partners. My doctoral research taught me the how-to of leading change; the horses teach us how to put those principles into practice with resilience and confidence.

I first founded WellEquined, a wellness program dedicated to helping former athletes navigate the identity-shifting transition from sport. Today, I am proud to offer this same powerful, integrated approach to individuals, teams, and organizations seeking to master any complex shift in their lives or careers.

I believe true transformation happens in a space

where honesty and intuition lead the way.

Equine-Assisted Coaching for
Resilience Through Change
I offer private and group Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) sessions designed for anyone navigating significant change and in search of clarity, renewed purpose, and grounded direction.

If you are looking for a unique, powerful alternative to traditional coaching, these sessions are for you. The immediate, honest feedback from the horses accelerates awareness and leads to true breakthroughs.

In these EAL sessions, we focus on helping you:

  • Navigate Complex Transitions: Address professional shifts, leadership challenges, or personal breakthroughs with confidence.

  • Build Resilience & Confidence: Practice regulating your nervous system and responding to pressure, guided by the horse's non-judgmental wisdom.

  • Achieve Clarity of Purpose: Slow down to reconnect with your intuition and make decisions rooted in your authentic self.

Each session is a grounded, mindful experience that connects you deeply to what your body and intuition are telling you—all gently guided by the subtle, honest wisdom of your horse partners. No prior horse experience is needed—just an open heart and a willingness to slow down, be present, and reconnect with your most authentic self.

The EAL Coaching Process

Intentions

  • What Happens: After booking, you'll receive a private form to share your current challenge (the significant change you are navigating) and your desired outcome (resilience, confidence, clarity).

  • Purpose: This critical step allows us to set the intentions for your EAL session and ensures our time in the arena is focused, powerful, and aligned with your goals.

Experience

  • What Happens: We meet at the arena. Each session is a grounded, mindful experience rooted in presence and self-awareness, gently guided by the subtle wisdom of our horse partners.

  • Key Detail: No prior horse experience is needed. There is no riding involved; this is a powerful, connection-based process focused on non-verbal communication and self-discovery.

Integration

  • What Happens: We debrief the experience. You translate the immediate insights and emotional clarity gained in the arena into concrete actions and leadership strategies for your life or organization.

  • Outcome: You leave with a tangible sense of grounded direction, renewed purpose, and unwavering confidence to implement lasting change.

Client Reflections

"I rode horses for years for calm, but it wasn't until my immersive equine-assisted coaching session at 53 that it all finally made sense. The horses immediately mirrored my deepest energy, allowing my nervous system to finally reset and release years of stored emotions, stress, and anxiety. They create a profound space of safety and connection. This was a powerful and truly life-changing experience. If you are navigating a complex transition, I cannot recommend Dr. Dawn's work highly enough."
